1. About NaijaLaborMarket

NaijaLaborMarket (“we”, “us”, the “Platform”) is an online marketplace that connects clients looking for services with independent contractors and service providers across Nigeria. We provide the technology that helps you find each other, communicate, and agree on work. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a contractor or a client, and we do not perform the services listed on the Platform.

2. Who can use NaijaLaborMarket

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use NaijaLaborMarket. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

3. Your account

You sign in using a one-time code sent to your phone or email. You are responsible for keeping access to that phone number or email address secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed your account. Each account has a single role — client, contractor, or administrator.

4. Contractors

If you list your business on NaijaLaborMarket, you agree that:

• The information on your profile, services, and portfolio is truthful and your own.
• You hold any licences, permits, or qualifications the law requires for the work you offer, and you will carry them out competently and safely.
• Your listing only becomes publicly visible after review by our team, and we may decline, suspend, or remove listings at our discretion.
• You will honour the price and scope you agree with a client.

5. Clients

When you request or hire a service, you agree to describe your needs honestly, to treat contractors respectfully, and to pay agreed amounts directly to the contractor. Always confirm the price, scope, and timing with a contractor before any work begins.

6. Payments

Please agree the price, scope, and timing of any service clearly before work begins. Where we introduce paid features or subscriptions, they will be governed by additional billing terms that we make available and that you will need to accept at that time.

7. Reviews and content

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and be honest and fair. You must not post content that is false, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights. You keep ownership of the content you post but grant us a licence to display it on the Platform. We may remove content that breaches these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use NaijaLaborMarket for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity, business, or affiliation.
• Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its data.
• Scrape, harvest, or misuse other users’ personal information.

9. Disclaimers

NaijaLaborMarket is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any contractor, client, or service found through the Platform, and we do not endorse any user. You deal with other users at your own risk and should use your own judgement, including verifying credentials before hiring.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NaijaLaborMarket is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Platform, from dealings with other users, or from services arranged through it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, that create risk for other users, or where we are required to by law. You may stop using NaijaLaborMarket at any time.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above, and continued use of NaijaLaborMarket means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
