Security
How we protect your account and your data — and how you can help.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
How we protect your data
- Passwordless sign-in. We use one-time codes sent to your phone or email instead of passwords, so there is no password for you to lose or for us to store.
- Encryption in transit. All traffic to and from NaijaLaborMarket is served over HTTPS, so data is encrypted between your device and our servers.
- Strict data access rules. Our database enforces row-level security, so each person can only read the data they are entitled to — you see your own requests and conversations, and no one else’s.
- Least privilege. Sensitive actions such as approving contractors or changing account roles are restricted, and protected by database-level safeguards against privilege escalation.
- Private attachments. Files shared in chat are stored privately and are only accessible to the participants in that conversation.
How you can stay safe
- Never share your one-time sign-in code with anyone — we will never ask you for it.
- Keep access to your phone number and email secure.
- Agree prices and details in writing through in-app chat before any work begins.
- Be cautious of anyone who asks you to pay or communicate outside the Platform.
- Report suspicious profiles, messages, or activity to us.
Responsible disclosure
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in NaijaLaborMarket, please tell us before disclosing it publicly. Email info@naijalabormarket.com with the details and steps to reproduce, and give us a reasonable time to investigate and fix the issue. We are grateful to researchers who help keep our users safe.
Important note
No online service can be completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use NaijaLaborMarket at your own risk. If we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will act promptly and in line with our legal obligations.
